Refund & Return Policy for Note to Self
At Note to Self, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. Refunds are only considered under the following circumstances:
- If an item is damaged upon arrival.
- If an item is lost in transit.
- If an item is confirmed to be broken before shipping.
Reporting Damaged or Lost Items
If your item arrives damaged or is lost in transit, you must notify us via email within 7 days of delivery to be eligible for a refund or claim. Claims made after this period may not be honored.
Broken Items Before Shipping
If an item is found to be broken before shipping, we will contact you directly. In such cases, we will issue a full refund, including shipping costs, and apply it to your original payment method.
Exchanges for Damaged Items
If an item arrives damaged, you can choose either a full refund or an exchange for the same item, subject to availability. If an exchange is unavailable, a refund will be processed.
Insurance & Filing a Claim
All packages are insured up to $200. Additional insurance can be purchased at checkout. In the event of damage, follow these steps:
- Contact us via email within 7 days of delivery.
- Include photos of the damaged item(s), shipping box, and packaging.
We will file an insurance claim on your behalf. Claims will only be processed if photos are provided immediately. Once approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method. Please note that refund timing depends on your bank or credit card provider.
Return Shipping Costs
If an item must be returned for inspection due to a broken-before-shipping claim or approved exchange, Note to Self will cover the return shipping costs.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:
- Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants).
- Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items).
- Personal care goods (such as beauty products).
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
Please contact us if you have questions about a specific item. We also do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you if the refund is approved. Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us at notetoself.work@gmail.com.
